GLOBALFIT AWARDED FASTEST GROWING COMPANY

PHILADELPHIA, PA – MAY 31, 2006 – GlobalFit, the nation’s leading provider of employee and group fitness benefits, has been named to the 2006 Inner City 100, a ranking of the fastest growing companies in America’s inner cities as determined by the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC) and Inc. Magazine. In its second year on the list, GlobalFit placed 46th, up 35 places from last year, based on its growth in revenues and number of employees, and was the only Philadelphia-based company on the list.

“We’re very excited to be acknowledged by the ICIC and Inc. Magazine as one of their Top 100 Inner City companies,” said John Cassady, Founder and Chairman of GlobalFit. “It’s truly an honor to be included on this list, and we are proud to be part of this influential group of companies that have demonstrated a strong commitment to our urban areas.”

This is the eighth year the list has been published and more than 4,500 companies were nominated. Criteria for the award include having at least 51 percent of operations located in economically distressed urban areas and having sales of at least $200,000 in 2000 and at least $1 million in 2004. Collectively, these 100 companies have created 10,181 new jobs in the past four years and have had sales of more than $3.1 billion.

“This year's Inner City 100 winners are located in inner cities, but their performance ranks them among the best-performing companies operating from any location, including central business districts," said Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC) President and CEO Dorothy Terrell. "For more than a decade at ICIC, we have insisted that inner cities encompass multiple competitive business advantages. This year's Inner City 100 winners have identified and leveraged every one of them and added variations of their own. Inner City 100 2006 is truly the Year of the Savvy Entrepreneur."

GlobalFit founder John Cassady developed an innovative business concept: use the physician HMO model to persuade corporations to add fitness club membership to their employee benefit packages. The benefit was designed to help companies reduce employee healthcare costs, increase employee performance and lower absenteeism. Through GlobalFit, the nation's top corporations and organizations have access to fitness club memberships as well as a variety of fitness and wellness products and services. Today, fitness club memberships are one of the most requested employee benefits.

GlobalFit is the nation’s leading provider of employee and group fitness benefits. Founded in 1992 and headquartered in Philadelphia, GlobalFit offers a comprehensive range of fitness and wellness products and services to over 50 million lives including access to more than 2,000 fitness clubs nationwide.
