FITLINXX CO-FOUNDER GREENBERG JOINS GLOBALFIT
Sees New Post as a Continuation of his Previous Mission
PHILADELPHIA, PA – (February 8, 2008) – The leading provider of healthy living benefits in the U.S., GlobalFit has appointed FitLinxx co-founder Andy Greenberg as its Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
"We’ve been working closely with Andy for many months," said Frank Napolitano, President and CEO of GlobalFit. "We’re very excited to have him contributing to GlobalFit’s continued growth, particularly as it pertains to our collaboration with FitLinxx."
That "collaboration" is called Destination: You, the latest and most innovative product for the corporate wellness space. GlobalFit incorporated FitLinxx’s Fitsense accelerometer technology into its proprietary motivational software, allowing users to track – and increase – their daily activity. With fitness pioneer Kathy Smith as guide and chief motivator, Destination: You offers a comprehensive array of resources to help sedentary Americans start down the path of being more active. This group currently is at an increased risk of lifestyle-related illness and injury.
For his part, Greenberg describes his new post as "like watching your child grow to maturity." Though his GlobalFit responsibilities extend well beyond Destination: You, he is eager to "expand my focus beyond the development of cutting-edge technology and into the creation of this extensive program that will impact the health of millions and redefine the marketplace."

One of two FitLinxx co-founders, Greenberg served the company for 15 years in a diverse set of roles ranging from engineering and prototyping to business development. During his tenure, more than 700 facilities in the U.S. and Europe adopted FitLinxx’s core ‘coaching’ technology to assist more than one million members in achieving their fitness goals.
