PHILADELPHIA, PA (November 21, 2008) Ninetysix percent of Americans know that they should exercise regularly, a fitness industry executive told his peers at a forum in Shanghai, China recently. Only about 20% of them actually do it. To address that gap between thought and action, the executive Frank Napolitano, the President and CEO of GlobalFit proposed a disruptive new product to disrupt people right off of their couches. Disruptive innovations dont bring better products to established customers, he clarified to the audience at the International Health, Racquet and Sportsclub Associations (IHRSA) seventhannual AsiaPacific Forum, held in Shanghai, China.
