She consults world-renowned physicians and nutritionists to produce high-quality, research-based programs and products for her customers. Her books, DVDs and products are best sellers in retail chains throughout the United States, and she's earned an induction into the Video Hall of Fame. A mother of two teenaged daughters, Kathy also serves on the boards of the USC School of Gerontology and the Women's Sports Foundation. Her latest book is Feed Muscle, Shrink Fat (Meredith Books, 2008).

Gary D. Foster, Ph. D.
Presenting Obesity: Causes, Consequences and Treatment

Gary Foster is Professor of Medicine and Public Health and the Director of the Center for Obesity Research and Education at Temple University. Dr. Foster's research interests include the behavioral and metabolic aspects of obesity. He has authored or coauthored more than 100 scientific publications and three books on the etiology and treatment of obesity. Dr. Foster has received numerous awards, including Outstanding Contributions to Health Psychology from the American Psychology Association, and an Honorary Membership from American Dietetic Association. He currently serves as President of the Obesity Society (www.obesity.org).

Sandy Perlmutter

Sandy Perlmutter currently serves as Administrative Director of the Center for Mental Outreach in the Department of Psychiatry at Georgetown University Hospital. She has been named a Sports Ethics Fellow by the Institute for International Sport. Ms. Perlmutter is the former Executive Director of the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports. A long-time civil servant, Ms. Perlmutter is an elected official in the District of Columbia, currently serving a third term as Advisory Neighborhood Commission Chair.

Dr. L. Casey Chosewood is the Director of the Office of Health and Safety (OHS) for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Dr. Chosewood is charged with protecting the health, safety and wellbeing of the CDC workforce as they face the new challenges of the modern public health era. Previously, Dr. Chosewood served as OHS Deputy Director and headed the Division of Occupational Health and Prevention Services. Before joining CDC, he was the Medical Director for the Southeastern region of Lucent Technologies, where he provided occupational health, disability management, and health promotion services for over 30,000 regional employees. He also practiced Family Medicine in Atlanta's Virginia Highland community for six years.
