Casey Chosewood, MD

Director of the Office of Health and Safety, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

Dr. L. Casey Chosewood is the Director of the Office of Health and Safety for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention headquartered in Atlanta. He is currently serving as the Chair of the Healthiest Nation Coordinating Council, leading CDC’s internal efforts to support the Alliance to Make US Healthiest in transforming our health system, achieving better value from our health investments, and increasing the emphasis on prevention and health promotion. Before this, he served as the Director of the Division of Occupational Health and Prevention Services and as Medical Director of CDC’s Occupational Health Clinics. As Director of the Office of Health and Safety, he is charged with protecting the health, safety and wellbeing of the CDC workforce as they face the new challenges of the modern public health era–no easy task in the age of increasing globalization, bioterrorism and emerging infectious diseases. His office leads CDC’s Biosafety, Laboratory and Animal Safety activities; all clinical and Occupational Health Services; Environmental and Compliance activities; and workplace wellness and prevention initiatives.

Dr. Chosewood received his medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia and completed his residency in Family and Community Medicine at the University of Connecticut. He has been an Assistant Professor of Family and Community Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine since 1997. After practicing community family medicine for 7 years, Dr. Chosewood served as the Medical Director for the Southeastern Region of Lucent Technologies.


Brian T. Day, EdD

Brian T. Day, EdD
Director of Advanced Analytics, Highmark, Inc.

Dr. Brian Day is currently the Director of Advanced Analytics at Highmark, Inc. His department is responsible for developing innovative strategies in trending disease and costs, developing ROI models, and conducting financial and clinical analysis of both internal and external initiatives sponsored by Highmark.

Prior to employment at Highmark, Brian worked at the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) for 9 years as a statistician and health communications researcher and consultant. Before NIOSH, Brian was a project coordinator at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic.


Greg Howe

Greg Howe is Wellness Specialist at Lincoln Industries, a leading example of successful corporate wellness. Thirty years ago, Lincoln Industries became one of the first companies in the nation to develop a wellness program. Today, the investment made to wellness has paid off with lower turnover, lower absenteeism, higher quality, lower healthcare costs, and most importantly, a happier company.

Howe holds a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and a master’s degree in Nutrition & Health Sciences from the University of Nebraska.


Mike Motta

Michael Motta
President and CEO, Plus One Health Management, Inc.

Mike Motta has over 28 years of experience in the fitness industry, including personal training, corporate fitness, physical therapy, technology development, facility design development and staff coaching. He currently leads, Plus One, which manages on-site wellness centers, fitness centers, urban spas, physical therapy clinics, and professional wellness coordinators for Fortune 100 clients in over 90 US locations.

From 2004-2008, Mike served on the Board of Directors for the International Health and Racquet Sports Association and is currently a member of the Senior Leadership Development Council and the Fund Raising Committee for Health Promotion Advocates. He is also a member of the University of Massachusetts Amherst Advisory Board for their School of Public Health, a disaster relief volunteer for the American Red Cross, and a volunteer firefighter.

Prior to founding Plus One, Mike served as a professor of Physical Education and coach of football and lacrosse at SUNY/Albany. He received a master's degree in Exercise Physiology from Ithaca College and completed three years of post-graduate studies in Applied Physiology at Columbia University in New York.


David Patchell-Evans

David Patchell–Evans (known as “Patch”) is a five–time Canadian rowing champion and the founder and CEO of GoodLife Fitness Clubs, Canada’s largest and fastest–growing fitness empire. He is the recipient of a host of awards, including the Canadian Medical Association Medal of Honor; Canada’s Most Innovative CEO; and the 2006 Entrepreneur of the Year special citation. He is also the founder of the Canadian Association of Fitness Professionals and the author of Living the Good Life: Your Guide to Health and Success. In March, 2006 Patch was appointed to the IHRSA Board of Directors, one of the highest honors in the fitness industry worldwide.

Richard G. Tuttle, Esq.

Richard G. Tuttle practices as a corporate generalist, assisting business organizations with corporate planning, acquisitions and divestitures, commercial transactions, commercial litigation, labor and employment litigation and counseling, and insurance. He also frequently briefs and argues complex appeals in various federal and state appellate courts.

Mr. Tuttle’s clients include small, medium and large companies, many of which are involved in manufacturing and distribution, domestically and internationally. Before joining Archer & Greiner in 2004, Mr. Tuttle practiced with his partner, Jeffrey Kolansky (now an A&G partner), in Philadelphia for more than a decade. Mr. Tuttle had previously served as a law clerk to the Honorable Clarence C. Newcomer, United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and the Honorable A. Leon Higginbotham, Jr., Circuit Judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Mr. Tuttle served as an Assistant District Attorney in Philadelphia in 1980–81.
