What is GlobalFit?
GlobalFit is a benefit offered through your employer, group affiliation or health insurance provider. GlobalFit makes it easy and affordable to join a fitness club by providing flexible membership options at over 2,000 quality fitness clubs nationwide, including Puerto Rico.

How does GlobalFit work?
Simply use our website or call us toll-free at 800-294-1500 to find a fitness club thatís right for your needs. Once enrolled through GlobalFit, you can start using the fitness club usually by 12 noon the next business day and get started on a healthier, fitter you.

How do I enroll?
To receive your fitness club membership, log onto www.globalfit.com, or call 800-294-1500 and a customer service representative will assist you. All enrollments are handled through GlobalFit and not at the fitness club.

How soon can I start going to the fitness club?
Once you have completed your enrollment either through our website or by calling 800-294-1500, you will be able to start utilizing the fitness club usually by the next business day after 12 noon EST. All Bally Total Fitness, New York Sports Club, Philadelphia Sports Club, Boston Sports Club and Washington Sports Club memberships require a signed, returned Corporate Membership Agreement (CMA) form before a member can start utilizing the club.

What are the costs?
Dues Ė The amount of your dues depends on the fitness club you decide to join. By performing a search on our website or calling our toll-free number 800-294-1500, you can get information on dues, locations and hours of operation.
Affiliation fee Ė All fitness clubs have some sort of affiliation or sign-up fee. The industry average is $250.00 while the GlobalFit affiliation fee average is $98.00 for a single membership. This is all part of the total cost of the fitness club and access to all the other benefits offered through GlobalFit. GlobalFit splits this fee into 2 equal amounts (3 for couple or family) and adds it to your first two (or three) payments, making joining a club easy and affordable.
Paid-in-full Memberships Ė GlobalFit offers one-year, paid-in-full memberships to Bally Total Fitness Clubs only. Please note that there is no option to freeze, transfer or cancel your membership before the end of your one-year term.

Are there any additional costs I should be aware off?
A $15.00 fee is charged should you decide to freeze* or transfer your membership to another participating fitness club. In the event that your financial institution declines payment for your monthly dues, a $25.00 return fee will be assessed to your GlobalFit account.

Can any of my family members join GlobalFit?
The GlobalFit benefit is extended to immediate family members including spouse, domestic partner and dependent children under the age of 23 living at home or in school.

Where is the closest GlobalFit fitness club in my area?
You can search our fitness club database at www.globalfit.com by using your zip code. Or call 800-294-1500 to find the participating fitness clubs nearest to you.

What if there is no participating fitness club in my area?
GlobalFit currently has over 2,000 participating fitness clubs and is continually adding quality fitness clubs to its network. If you donít find a participating fitness club in your area, you may request a specific fitness club by filling out the club request form online at http://www.globalfit.com/club/clubrefer.asp. Clubs that meet select quality and demographic criteria will be invited to become part of the GlobalFit network. This process is a courtesy to our members, not a guarantee that a specific club will join the network or agree to give a discount.

How long will it take to get a fitness club into the network?
There is no guaranteed time frame in which a fitness club will be added to the GlobalFit network - it depends on the individual facility. For updates on additions to our fitness club network, you can visit our New Club page online at http://www.globalfit.com/club/newclubs.asp.

If I join a club in the GlobalFit network, can I use any other club in the network?
When you join a fitness club through GlobalFit, you have access to that one facility*, but if you have a commit membership you may also use any participating GlobalFit club while traveling more than 50 miles from your specific GlobalFit club**. You may also transfer your membership to any participating GlobalFit club. In addition, some facilities are owned by the same person or entity and may have reciprocal agreements or multi-club memberships through GlobalFit. Please call 800-294-1500, and ask a representative for assistance.

*Bally Total Fitness Clubs as well as the New York/Philadelphia/Boston/Washington Sports Club chain each offer regional- and national-access membership options.

Why canít I sign up to the club while Iím there checking it out?
In order to receive your Globalfit Benefit, ability to freeze*, cancel or transfer, along with any other promotional GlobalFit offers, you must sign up directly through GlobalFit Ė either online at www.globalfit.com or by calling 800-294-1500 Ė and not at the club.

What happens if I move outside the network?
GlobalFit has more than 2,000 clubs nationwide. You can have us transfer your membership to any participating club. If no club is available, you can cancel your membership.

Can I cancel anytime?
GlobalFit simply asks for a written notice by the 18th of the month for a membership to be canceled for the end of that current month. All requests after the 18th of the month will be effective at the end of the following month. There is no early cancellation or refund for a one-year, paid-in-full member or for a one-year Commit member.

Should I call GlobalFit or my fitness club directly to cancel?
All requests, including a request to cancel, must be done through GlobalFit and not at the fitness club. There is no early cancellation or refund for a one-year, paid-in-full member or for a one-year Commit member.

Do insurance companies reimburse me for belonging to a fitness club?
All insurance companies set their own policies. You must call your insurance carrier and inquire directly with them.

I am already a member of a fitness club in the GlobalFit network; can I still get a discount?
Participation in GlobalFit is for new club members only. If you are a current club member Ė or were a member in the last 12 months Ė of a network club, membership is not available to that club with the exception of Bally Total Fitness. Bally Total Fitness Memberships are available through GlobalFit after you have completed any and all obligations with Bally Total Fitness.

For how long can I freeze my account?
Commit members are allowed to freeze* their membership up to 2 months in a calendar year, depending on the fitness club. You will not be billed for your freeze period. Your commit membership will be extended by the time frozen. Members may request to freeze their membership up to the 18th of the month to be frozen for the upcoming month. Any requests after the 18th will not take effect until the end of the following month. A $15.00 freeze processing fee will be assessed.

What amenities do the fitness clubs in your network have?
GlobalFit has a wide variety of fitness clubs with many amenities to offer. Each facility is different, ranging from basic workout to spa and country club-type facilities. Visit us online at www.globalfit.com or call 800-294-1500 for a full list of amenities and hours of operation.

How do I pay for my GlobalFit membership?
All billing is done electronically through GlobalFit. GlobalFit bills on the 23rd of each month for the upcoming month. Charges can be made to a major credit card, or for select clubs, to your checking or savings account. Please note that the GlobalFit website accepts only credit cards. To enroll with a bank account, please call 800-294-1500.

Can I enroll in the program if I donít have a credit card or bank account?
No. All billing is done electronically on the 23rd of every month for the upcoming month. If you currently donít have an account, you may want to consider opening a small bank account just for your GlobalFit membership.

What credit cards does GlobalFit accept?
GlobalFit accepts Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover.

Can GlobalFit change the day my account is debited?
No. GlobalFit has one date that it processes all regular monthly billing. Billing is done on the 23rd of each month for the upcoming month.
